OUR SERVICES
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses broad-spectrum light energy to target pigmentation, redness, broken capillaries, sun damage, and uneven skin tone. The light is absorbed by unwanted colour in the skin, helping to break it down while stimulating natural collagen production for a clearer, brighter complexion.
IPL is a quick procedure with minimal downtime, making it ideal for clients looking to rejuvenate their skin or address specific concerns such as rosacea, age spots, and photo-damage. Results typically improve over several sessions as pigmentation fades and skin tone becomes more even.

IPL Photorejuvenation (Venus Versa)
Venus Versa™ IPL photorejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to address common signs of skin aging. This technology delivers light energy in precise pulses that are absorbed by the skin’s chromophores—specifically melanin (for pigmented lesions) and hemoglobin (for vascular lesions).
As we age, our skin can develop uneven pigmentation, broken capillaries, and discolouration. The Venus Versa IPL treatment targets these issues, helping to restore a more even, vibrant, and youthful complexion.
Key benefits include:
Effective treatment of benign pigmented and vascular lesions
Real-time cooling technology for patient comfort during treatment
No downtime — clients can typically resume normal activities immediately after a session.
Short treatment sessions (around 15–20 minutes)
How does IPL photorejuvenation work?
IPL sends pulses of broad-spectrum light into the skin, where it is absorbed by pigment and blood vessels.
This energy breaks down dark spots, constricts visible capillaries, reduces redness (including rosacea-related flushing), and encourages collagen production to improve overall texture and tone.
WHAT AREAS OR CONDITIONS CAN IPL TREAT?
IPL can effectively treat:
Sun damage and age spots
Freckles and uneven pigmentation
Redness and rosacea
Broken capillaries and visible blood vessels
General uneven skin tone
Dullness and mild texture concerns
Common treatment areas include the face, neck, chest, hands, and other zones where redness or pigmentation appear.
CAN IPL HELP REDUCE REDNESS AND ROSACEA?
Yes. IPL is widely used to treat:
Facial redness
Flushing associated with rosacea
Broken capillaries commonly seen in rosacea-prone skin
The light targets hemoglobin in dilated vessels, reducing visible redness and improving overall skin uniformity.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
After a course of treatments, clients can expect:
Brighter, clearer, more even-toned skin
Reduction in pigmentation and sunspots
Noticeable improvement in redness and rosacea
Fewer visible vessels and broken capillaries
A more refreshed, rejuvenated complexion
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Most clients require 3–6 sessions, spaced around 4 weeks apart.
Rosacea and redness typically benefit from a full treatment course followed by periodic maintenance.
ARE THE RESULTS LONG-LASTING?
Yes — with good skincare and sun protection.
While pigmentation and redness treated by IPL may not return, rosacea is a chronic condition, so maintenance sessions every 3–6 months may be recommended to keep redness under control.
DOES IT HURT?
The treatment feels like a light snap or flick against the skin. venus.ai
To improve comfort, Venus devices use SmartPulse™ technology and a built-in cooling system, which helps minimise discomfort.
IS THERE DOWNTIME?
Very minimal.
Mild redness or darkening of pigmented spots is normal for a few hours to a couple of days, but you can usually return to normal activities immediately.
WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR IPL?
IPL is generally not recommended for:
Very dark skin tones
Recently tanned skin
Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals
People taking photosensitising medications
A consultation and patch test ensures safe and effective treatment.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
Ideal for people with uneven skin tone, discolouration, or visible veins.
Works best on light–medium skin tones.
Because of the risk of pigment complications, it's less suitable for very dark skin.

After your IPL treatment, the skin will be more sensitive and needs gentle care:
Immediately After Treatment

3–7 Days After

Continue using a gentle cleanser and soothing moisturiser.
Sun Protection (Very Important!)
